Jakub Margosiak


Founder of Living Space Theatre. Graduate of Acting Department PWST in Krakow, auditor at the Dance Theatre Department in Bytom. PhD student at the The Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź, Acting Department. He graduated from the Michael Chekhov Academy in New York. Teacher of Chekhov acting technique workshops in Poland and abroad, amongst others in China.

He performed in the following pieces: “Si C’etait ma rue” by Paulina Almeida and Dawid Zakowski (La Pailette Theater – France), “Collective Jumps” by Isabelle Schad (Art Station Foundation – Poznań), “As We Lay Dying” created by The Bruce High Quality Foundation (BHQF) as part of the FADA benefit, “House of Madness” (WatermillCenter – New York) and created his own choreographical projects: “Room of the senses” and “Conceptual home”. He cooperates with BWA Contemporary Art Gallery in Katowice, Silesian Theatre in Katowicce, Mościce Arts Centre in Tarnów. Director of Living Space Theatre performances: „Kaj Dzias“, „Shapes“, „Jesus Christ, Refugee!“, „Trembles“. His performance „Kaj Dzias“ was nominated for The Best OFF 2018 prize for off-theatres in Poland and was presened in Post Culture Stage in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) as part of European Capital of Culture 2019 programme.

He participated in the International Summer Program organized by Robert Wilson at the Watermill Center in New York, gave workshops and lectures during International Dance Symposium “Dancing in the Body of Nature” organized by International Dance Committee of International Theater Institute as part of the 35th ITI World Congress in Manaus, Brazil. He worked as an assistant to proffesor Sylwia Hefczyńska-Lewandowska with subject of “Dance Techniques” – as part oft he curriculum at PWST. Rector of PWST in Krakow’s artistic scholarship holder.
